Since the tragic loss of our friend, teacher, leader, and president, Rabbi Aaron Panken, z”l, hundreds of members of our community whose lives he touched and whose callings he inspired, reached out with a desire to ensure his remarkable example lives on. His colleagues at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion have been working with his beloved wife and partner, Lisa Messinger, and their family to honor his profound impact on the institution, its students, and the Reform Movement. Today, we invite you to help us guard Rabbi Panken’s legacy and amplify the impact of his life on future generations and support the campaign to endow a Rabbi Aaron D. Panken Professorship on each HUC-JIR campus.
